HOT Program

HOT Flash: Mrs. Anita Harrow has volunteered to chair the HOT committee. Please help Anita in any way that you can to bring this valuable program back to life.

The Chapter supports our combat troops in the far corners of the world through a program called Help Our Troops (HOT), chaired by Mrs. Anita Harrow. This program collects needed items (what the troops say they need) and mails those items to them. As of 1 December, 2007, Mrs. Carolyn Shields, former HOT program head, and her helpers (affectionately called the HOT ladies), have sent over 350 boxes of "goodies" to the troops in Afghanistan.

This worthy program has "caught on" in the local community, with donations from various drug stores, dentists offices, and even bridge clubs.

I've attached a list of items that the troops would like. Should you wish to donate, it would be greatly appreciated. And, of course, plain old hard cash is also needed to mail the boxes. So, that is more than acceptable, should you wish to participate in that manner.
